Abstract

The scintillator material is used to detect radiation for a wide range of applications such as geology, security, astronomy and of great importance in the medical field. However, the scintillator material with high light yield and fast decay (fast response time)  as well as resistance to moisture will have a very high value.
Over the past 10 years, multicomponent garnet crystals have been developed. However, there are still limitations in terms of response time.  Therefore, the development of a high light yield and fast response time multicomponent garnet for radiation measurement and medical imaging applications is interesting.
