Abstract
The purpose of this project is to transfer the technology of the Internet of things (IoT) and precision farming based on measuring and controlling the environmental system to optimize and increase the vermicompost quality and productivity putting in fields. The practice focuses on the results of four series of prototype testing and then on training 100 farmers who raised the vermicompost at least and developing a learning center for extending the technology to farmers in the community of Bang Yo subdistrict, Phra Pradaeng district, Samut Prakarn province.
a system management approach measures the environment conditions near real-time which affect the growing up of the vermicompost such as temperature, soil humidity, relative humidity soil pH, and light intensity. The data obtained is allow farmers to optimize process inputs and increase the quantity and the quality of productivity. This technology is thus the tool that can help increase product yields and profitability, reduce chemical inputs, and reduce costs. Finally, it leads to farming chemical safety and reduce the environmental impacts of agriculture, and farming practices, thus contributing to the sustainability of agricultural production and resulting in reduced agricultural waste and adding value as well.
