Optimization of Lignin Extraction from Agricultural Waste of Coconut Industry

This research aims to determine the optimal extraction conditions of lignins from two major agricultural wastes of the coconut industry, namely coconut shells and husks. The structures of the lignins were then investigated. The findings of this research will provide a guideline for the production and utilization of lignins from coconut husks and shells, plentiful waste materials from the coconut industry, for further use in a wide range of industrial applications.
