Abstract

Anthracnose disease is one of the most  devastrating disease around the world. Colletotrichum gloesporioides is one of the fungi that cause the disease. In our previous study, C. gloesporioides that harboring myxovirus showed the hypovirilent effect, reduce in pathogenicity. A side from that, transcriptomics  and proteomics analysis reveled that many important genes and proteins were down-regulated during myxovirus infection. Among them, Elongation factor 3 (eEF3) was selected for the further study due to its specific related to fungi family only. Her, we aim to lockout the gene eEF3 to generate the data of eEF3 on the growth and pathogenicity of C. gloesporioides. In the same time, the transcriptomics of wild type and knockout fungi will be compared to see the effect of eEF3 to other genes.
