Abstract
The fiber sheets for drug delivery were simply established from cellulose acetate (CA)/poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL) mixed with oxyresveratrol by electrospinning technique. The oxyresveratrol exhibited anti-oxidant and also anti-tyrosinase which was successfully purified by using column chromatography. The concentration of oxyresveratrol 0.1 %w/w loading into diverse mass ratios of CA/PCL blended fiber sheets were prepared in mixed solvents of Acetone/DMF . The fiber sheets were continuous, uniform, and had a diameter ranging from approximately 200-1000 nm. The release of oxyresveratrol from the fiber materials were studied by using the total immersion method, which was skin simulator, PBS at pH 7.4. The effectiveness of antioxidant and anti-tyrosinase activity of oxyresveratrol in fiber sheet showed the sustainable activity better than free oxyresveratrol with the same concentration after 28 Freeze-Thaw cycles for antioxidant) and anti-tyrosinase. The fiber sheet doped with oxyresveratrol could be applied as a non-invasive whitening and anti-aging material, which highlighted its potential for an easy-to-use transdermal patch application.
