Abstract
The project is a study of electrical signals responding to the pressure of springs on railway tracks. It is a research project focused on building knowledge to advance fast inspection technology in railway systems because there are a large number of springs on the tracks that need to be inspected for pressure throughout their operational life. The conventional methods are time-consuming and unable to inspect all of them. The research team relies on technical knowledge in material stress assessment using electromagnetic signals to study changes in the mechanical paths affecting the signals and validate their use in laboratory settings and simulation scenarios.
The research output includes publications at the international level related to using electromagnetic signals with spring pressure on railway tracks to measure stress. The results of the research can be extended to the development of researchers and the design of testing methods or practical testing tools in the industry.
The budget requested was 450,000 Baht with a research duration of 1 year (originally).
The approved budget was 297,000 Baht with a research duration of 8 months.
