Abstract

Law enforcement officers, including those in crime prevention, traffic control, and investigation, may face challenges in performing their duties effectively, potentially due to a lack of proficiency in firearm usage. Consequently, there is a need to address this issue by providing intensive and realistic firearm training. To meet this demand, law enforcement agencies have organized rapid response training programs that focus on improving shooting techniques and conducting firearm reviews to ensure operational readiness. These initiatives aim to enhance the skills and safety of officers and related personnel, maximizing their effectiveness and safeguarding lives and property. However, there is a desire to further augment training methods through the integration of augmented reality and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. This would allow users to simulate shooting scenarios and train in various environments, both indoors and outdoors, while offering customizable options for trainers. The proposed system ensures safety during training sessions and optimizes ammunition expenditure. This research seeks to develop a comprehensive training solution that combines virtual reality and IoT technologies to enhance firearm proficiency, promote safety, and optimize training resources.
