Abstract

Climate change is a global emergency which we need an urgent action. Temperature rising has
directly contributed by human activities in terms of stimulating industry. The challenge accounts
for how can we mitigate climate change risk as the same time of doing well in business. Generally,
climate change can form either physical or transition risks that are damaging among economics,
business, communities as well as household. To this concern, the research question accounts for
“Are we ready to mitigate climate change risks and to adapt to new business model in building a
resiliency? The main objective in this study is about to measure the maturity scale of climate
change risk mitigation and adaptation thru statistical models. The determinants of climate change
risk mitigation and adaptation will suggest from explanatory sequential mixed method. The
ultimate result accounts for the policy recommendations and best practice to business sectors.
Practical contribution in this study involves to enhance the awareness of climate change risks and
to find the roadmap of the mitigation and adaptation. Finally, in terms of theoretical contribution,
social science research in this field is still limited which the researchers study several theories
including human motive and attitude that are both important to successfully handle the climate
change.
