Abstract
The parameters of vortex generator (VG) were designed to apply for non-premixed synthetic LPG
combustion on a Slot Burner (SB) to improve flame temperature by studying the effects of the position,
angle, direction, aspect ratio (AR), and distance (S) of the vortex generator on an air port of SB. As the
VG is installed on an air port, 60-degree angle, CW direction, AR=0.4, and S=1 mm, could improve
the combustion characteristics due to VG effects on increased airflow velocity and Reynolds number.
As a result, the VG could be applied on SB as it is called VGSB to induce a well-mixed between fuel
and air, uniform temperature distribution affecting the higher flame temperature of LPG combustion.
