Abstract
The aim of the study was to fabricate the antibacterial and flexible film from lignin and carrageenan blend . The films were prepared by solution casting method under various carrageenan and lignin concentrations. The blend films were become a dark brown and less transparent film with increasing lignin concentrations. The films showed more elongation and strength with increasing carrageenan concentrations. Moreover, the lignin/ carrageenan blend films had antibacterial properties as Bacillus cereus. According to these results, it can be concluded that lignin/carrageenan blend films were flexible and antibacterial that was useful for the food packaging film.
