Abstract
There is a growing trend to develop multidisciplinary approaches to education for sustainable development, and to implement a teaching and learning methods to increase student satisfaction and engagement. This study aims to develop a role-play simulation game in which the students play as store owners, for the purpose of building skills in managerial and financial management. This project involves three phases: design, development, and testing. The design phase includes gathering all specific details required for the game and designing the gameplay, user interfaces, and graphics. In the development stage, the game engine was used as a tool to write code and build the game according to the earlier design documents. The game was tested and verified by collecting data from experts and participants. The game quality is accessed by the experts in the gaming and management fields. By gathering questionnaire data using a 5-point Likert scale from 20 participants, the results of this study shown that the level of overall participant satisfaction was at high level (x̅= 4.40, SD = .75) and a significant different in participant’s knowledge about basic managerial and financial managements after playing the game. Thanks to the methodology in this study, students are able to understand the basic knowledge of managerial and financial management.
