Abstract

This research was aimed 1) to design, develop and examine the quality of interactive multimedia based on ADDIE Model to publicize the Department of Educational Communications and Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), 2) to evaluate the perception of the sampling group, and 3) to evaluate their satisfaction towards to the interactive multimedia which was developed in accordance with the 5 steps of ADDIE Model as in Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The tools in this research consisted of 1) the interactive multimedia to publicize the Department, 2) the quality evaluation forms for contents and media presentation, 3) the perception evaluation form and 4) the satisfaction evaluation form. These tools were checked for their IOC by the panel experts. The sampling group in this research consisted of 30 undergraduate students from the Department of Educational Communications and Technology, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, KMUTT who were willing to participate in this research. They were chosen using purposive sampling method out of students in the first semester of the academic year 2021. The research results showed that the researchers created 3 following interactive multimedia: a) Undergraduate studies, b) Graduate studies, and c) Employability statistics of graduates. They were presented in the formats of posters and e-books with QR code technology for interaction. It was found that the quality of the contents in the interactive multimedia as evaluated by the expert panel was of a very good level (𝑥̅= 4.69, S.D. = 0.55). The quality of the media presentation as evaluated by the expert panel was of a good level (𝑥̅= 4.43, S.D. = 0.46). The perception of the sampling group was at the highest level (𝑥̅= 4.74, S.D. = 0.05). and their satisfaction was at the highest level (𝑥̅= 4.66, S.D. = 0.52). Therefore, the interactive multimedia based on ADDIE Model to publicize the Department of Educational Communications Technology could be distributed effectively.
