Abstract
Electricity generation and consumption in Thailand are based on the electricity structure as an Enhanced Single Buyer model. Over 10 years (from 2011 to 2021) of renewable energy development, increasing renewable electricity to 10% in 2021, and the share of PV electricity in renewable electricity is about 25%. By the way, the target of a 30% share of renewable energy in 2037, with the new PV installed capacity between 2022 – 2037. This study aims to estimate the electricity of PV in the next 15 years and the result is that PV installation capacity is 9,506 MW in 2037, and the share of PV electricity in renewable energy in 2022 – 2030 will be 23.4%. The share of PV electricity in 2031 - 2037 will decrease to 18%. Then added PV installation capacity in 2031 - 2037 needs to be considered.
