Abstract

This paper presents detailed analysis and design of a class E inverter which is used in wireless charging applications. Switching operation in each mode of the class E inverter is analyzed. Timing diagram of the corresponding waveforms is illustrated. Steps to design a class E inverter to achieve targeted output power is introduced. Design example is also thoroughly demonstrated. Simulation results of the designed circuit validates the presented inverter design. © 2022 IEEE.
