Monitoring and Data Collection System of Hybrid Power system at Koh Hong

This paper presents the design and development of monitoring and data collection system of the hybrid power system at Koh Hong, using LabView connected to a Modbus TCP/IP for reading the parameters through a resisted address which are used in IEC 61724 standard such as voltage at the battery, voltage at PV, current at battery, power at diesel generator. Sensors are used to measure irradiance and module temperature. Then this data is sent to LabView via a Universal Serial Bus (USB). This data is collected from both sources into a database then the performance of the system is analyzed with the IEC 61724 standard. This system is hosted on a web server therefore, it’s convenient to monitor and maintain from a long distance.
