Abstract
The key research objective was to design and develop a diary application for peritoneal dialysis patients on web and mobile platforms. The developed application can help patients and caregivers to record dialysis information more accurately and conveniently, which should lead to more precise analysis and diagnosis by physicians and more effective treatment overall. The application can record daily dialysis information and generate alerts for scheduled dialysis treatments and warnings of dialysis results irregularities. Additionally, the application can provide nutrition recommendations that are suitable for each patient. The application was implemented using Agile methodology, Bootstrap framework, Java, PHP, and MySQL. The mobile application was developed on the Android operating system. Using the Agile methodology, which uses an iterative approach to software delivery, allows the software development team to track and control software development process in more detail and also allows more responsive changes to better match user requirements.
