Abstract
An agro-industry in Thailand can be promoted circular economy model of waste application for carbon capture. Huge amounts of cassava production waste are generated each year. Nevertheless, the practical utilization of biochar produced from cassava rhizome is needed to conduct by capturing the CO2 emitted. We have proposed the preliminary study to prepare biochar from cassava rhizome. The rhizome biochar was performed with social a enterprise kiln under specific mild condition. The rhizome biochar was then ground to particles with a diameter of less than 2 mm and more than 2 mm and stored in airtight bags. The biochar samples were injected in an adsorption apparatus for CO2 adsorption experiments. The CO2 adsorption efficiency of each biochar was conducted with the laboratory setup.
