Development of Competency Assessment Tool for Polishing in Metallurgy Laboratory

Project on Development of Competency Assessment Tool for Polishing in Metallurgy Laboratory. The purposes of this project aimed to 1) develop CAT-P in Metallurgy Laboratory. 2) examine  CAT-P in Metallurgy Laboratory Quality. 3) study Satisfaction of user by CAT-P in Metallurgy Laboratory Usage. And 4) evaluate CAT-P in Metallurgy Laboratory Level of student. The research instrument used in the study were CAT-P in Metallurgy Laboratory and Satisfaction Assessment Tool by CAT-P in Metallurgy Laboratory Usage. The statistics for data analysis were Arithmetic Means, Standard Deviation, Difficulty Index, Discriminant Index, Reliability and Inter-Rater Reliability. The research results revealed that CAT-P in Metallurgy Laboratory were three documents consisted of 1) Knowledge Assessment Tool, Difficulty Index in range of 0.23 to 0.88. Also Discriminant Index in range of -0.15 to 0.62 and the reliability of this tool was high level. 2) Skill Assessment Tool   were two documents consisted of Skill Observation Tool and Skill Rating Tool. Both of two documents got IRR in high level and moderate level respectively. And 3) Attribute Assessment Tool. From the data analysis, CAT-P qualify quality that suit for students. From the survey totally acquired the highest satisfaction level. And CAT-P can arrange the competency level of the students.
