Dischool Discord Bot for Managing the Online Classroom

Currently, Discord is a popular platform for communication and chat through both text and voice. Researchers have identified that Discord can be a platform for online learning, but there are still some missing features to support online teaching. Therefore, researchers have developed a Discord Bot that allows users to issue commands to manage certain tasks. The developed Discord Bot is called Dischool and it helps manage Discord servers that are suitable for online learning, such as managing channels, roles, and permissions. For testing purposes, teachers and students were asked to use the Dischool bot and provide feedback on their experience through Google Forms. The results of the feedback from 23 students and 6 teachers were satisfactory and in line with expectations. The majority of respondents expressed an interest in learning and teaching online through Discord, with an average score of 5.83 from students and 5.4 from teachers, which is considered good.
