Abstract

The automotive industry has been pressured over environmental concerns in recent years, especially the plastic film, but it affects to the supply chain metrics. This research proposes a mathematical model to select suitable supplier in automotive plastic film industry to compromise environmental metric with the supply chain metrics. These are called four supply chain metrics of this study and introduced as primary measures to evaluate supplier by production activities that related are then selected. This problem is formulated as a bi-level mathematical program with four sub-objectives to reflect the four supply chain metrics. Constraints are supply chain metrics that need to be compromised and necessary production activities. The problem is solved using Excel solver to identify one of supplier who can show the most promising result.
