Abstract
In production process, there were many recurrent problems reaching production time loss or downtime. The cause of these problems was unsustainable solutions due to lack of problem-solving skills and standard of operation in workforce groups related to that process. To reduce downtime in the process, this paper proposed a practical learning model or 4MAT model to develop the problem-solving abilities of technicians through experimental learning process based on 21st century skills requirements. Therefore, a technician was able to diagnose the cause of the problem, work together to find a solution, design a method to prevent problems along with establishing standards and set operating procedures. After applying standard operating procedures, fewer problems in the labeling process of bottled beverages were found due to more precise problem analysis and solving. Consisted of setting standards and setting and adjusting the glue thickness appropriately. Consequently, loss reduction in the production process and machine downtime reduction were met company goals.
