Development of Computer Assisted Instruction on Computer Mathematics for Vocational Certificate Students

The purposes of this research were 1) to design and develop a computer assistedinstruction (CAI) on computer mathematics for vocational certificate students, 2) to evaluate the effectiveness of the CAI, 3) to evaluate the learners’ learning efficiency, and 4) to assess the learners’ satisfaction toward the CAI. The sample group was34 second-year vocational certificate students from Suvarnabhumi Collegeof Business Administration. The research tools were 1) thecomputer assisted instruction, 2) the achievement test, and 3) the learner’ssatisfaction assessment form. The statisticsused in this research were mean and standard deviation. The research results found that the quality of the CAI was at a very good level with mean =4.58, S.D. = 0.45. The effectiveness of the CAI was 84.93/88.63. The learner’slearningefficiency increased by 62.84 percent. The learners’ satisfaction withthe CAI was at a very high level with mean = 4.54, S.D. = 0.67.
