บทคัดย่อ

KMUTT initiated the development of a mechanism called 'Village Educational Volunteers (VEV)' by planning the recruitment of youth who have graduated high school and reside in the village. The project's primary objective was to enhance the quality of education and promote occupational development. At present, six individuals are actively engaged as village educational volunteers (VEV). Their responsibilities encompass assisting children and youth with specific learning needs, both in classroom settings and within the community. They play a crucial role in creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, and closely monitoring small group activities and the progress of individual children, offering guidance and support to those facing behavioral challenges. Additionally, VEV collaborated with the community to develop some learning modules that incorporate STEM subjects. Almost every day, VEV operates within the community environment, focusing on education in rural areas, committing to this noble cause for approximately one year. Reflecting on their experiences as VEV, several key lessons have been identified. They expressed concerns about how best to help children from diverse backgrounds achieve their learning goals and how to enhance their professional skills and knowledge for personal development. Moreover, VEV recognizes the need to acquire additional skills, such as facilitation techniques, creative thinking, and understanding child psychology, to ensure sustainable support for marginalized areas in the future. ฉ 2023 IEEE.
