This paper is focused on studying PV module installations in Thailand that have been in operation for more than 10 years. The research investigates defects in the PV modules that affect their electrical performance. The study begins with a visual inspection of all 36 modules, followed by testing their electrical parameters at standard test conditions (STC), such as maximum power, short circuit current, open circuit voltage, and insulation. The average power output of the PV modules is found to be 183.9 W, with a maximum of 272.6 W and a minimum of 45.7 W. The PV module with the lowest Voc also has the maximum number of PID cells on electroluminescence images, indicating that PID deterioration has a direct effect on the Voc and power output of PV modules. The research aims to investigate PID using electrical performance, electroluminescence, and impedance spectroscopy.
