Abstract
This study aimed to propose a practical AOP like electrochemical process for removing the contaminated TMP in water. The results showed that the efficiency had reached 94.85% removal after 5 mins with the best condition (NaCl 1000 mg/L with current density 50 mA/cm2) and it was even higher when integrating with UV light (97.61% removal). The result indicated that electrochemical process has high potential for removing TMP and to initiate the better result, cooperating with UV is necessary. Further study should be considered to understand the generation of free radicals in the system
