Abstract

In the 21st century, technology is evolving and moving forward relentlessly. In the career path of education, there is also a need to be continuous improvement. The development of the education system; school management, curriculum, teaching and learning is very important now, but ‘one’ little thing that some educators and parents may have forgotten and must focus more called ‘HAPPINESS’ of their children. That which is known as subjective well-being is significant for school settings and development. Therefore, this research aims to study the current status of student’s happiness while they are in school. The target group will be students in primary schools located in different provinces of Thailand. The research will examine how the schools provide conditions that would affect the level of student’s “happiness”. The examined factors consist of a.) Environment, Safety and Support, b.) Relationships, c.) Teaching and Learning Methods. The methodology is referred to the Self-Determination Theory (SDT), which will collect data from random subject samples of 2,359 students with ages ranging from 6 to 12 years old in Thailand. The research found that 76.94% of students are happy while they are in school with x̄ = 4.09. Therefore, still have 23.06% left behind in the random of student. Furthermore, the findings of previous studies conducted in the context of Happy school framework by UNESCO will be further discussed and researched in depth by year 2030. And the significant factors of happiness level will continually finding in near future.
