Abstract
This research focuses on studying and improving the production line of car audio: a case study of car audio line NO.1A model C. The study revealed that the production process was time-consuming and complex, leading to the elimination of waste in the process. Initially, the process study was improved using engineering tools such as work study and precedence diagrams, with analysis based on the identification of the 7 wastes in this process. Subsequently, the ECRS principle was applied to improve process efficiency, resulting in a continuous reduction in process time from 104.0 to 81.9 seconds per piece. Productivity increased from 34 to 44 pieces per hour, and the line balancing efficiency increased by 18%.
