Abstract

This research aims to enhance efficiency in manufacturing electronic car parts by minimizing waste and addressing inefficiencies in seven production areas. We refine processes, implement controls, and focus on areas where production falls short. Rectifying production line imbalances is crucial for meeting demand and adhering to the schedule. The primary challenge is eliminating valueless activities that cause wastefulness. Our proposed methodology involves analyzing and improving each stage, employing tools such as production line balancing and waste reduction. Following adjustments, there is a significant 10% increase in production, from 1,300 to 1,430 units per shift. The production line is now 12% more efficient, rising from 85.14% to 95.68%. Remarkably, the team size was reduced by six, resulting in a more streamlined team of five, showcasing improved efficiency.
