Abstract
This research aimed to develop ECT KMUTT fonts set for use in graphic design via digital media for the perception of corporate identity. The objectives were 1) to explore the need for the use of the ECT KMUTT font use in graphic design 2) to design and assess the quality of fonts set 3) to assess the perception of the sample group and 4) to assess the satisfaction level of the sample group toward the fonts set. The study tools consisted of ECT KMUTT fonts, which consisted of ECT KMUTT Smile fonts, ECT KMUTT Smooth fonts and ECT KMUTT Smart fonts for graphic design work on digital media. The sampling group for this study were 51 students from department of Educational Communications and Technology. Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology. King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, who applied in the ETM 203 course; Computer Based Graphics Design, within the second semester of 2022. There were nine experts in attendance from the fields of media, designing, measurement, and evaluation. The data was gathered using questionnaires. The statistical methods used were mean score, standard deviation. The findings showed that the quality assessment by the experts was as follows: the media was at a very good level (x̅ = 4.53, SD = 0.38) and the designing was at a good level (x̅ = 4.49, SD = 0.48). The assessment of the perception of the sample was in at the highest level (x̅ = 4.73, SD = 0.57) and the result of the sample’s satisfaction assessment was at the highest level (x̅ = 4.73, SD = 0.50). It could be concluded that the development of ECT KMUTT fonts set for use in graphic design via digital media for the perception of corporate identity was of high quality and could be used practically.
