Abstract

Improving the efficiency of inventory management case study of the air conditioning industry. The objective is to study ways to increase efficiency in managing inventory, reduce time and distance searching for spare parts. By studying basic information about inventory management, analyze the causes of the problem of unorganized inventory management from the fishbone diagram. Design a spare parts arrangement diagram by applying the ABC analysis from frequency of use and ECRS techniques. Then collected data on the time and distance to search for spare parts from the work of employees after organizing the spare parts inventory as designed. It was found that the search time for spare parts before the improvement was 9.65 minutes, after the improvement was 5.93 minutes, which could be reduced the search time was 3.72 minutes, accounting for 38.55%, and the search distance for spare parts before the renovation was 29.64 meters, after the renovation was 25.68 meters, reducing the search distance by 3.96 meters, accounting for 13.36%, and conducting employee satisfaction surveys treasury and employees involved in using the space It was found that employees were the most satisfied.
