บทคัดย่อ

This research studies the monthly mean currents in the Gulf of Thailand based on Adaptive mesh. The simulated geographic region covers geographically from 12.4°N to 13.5°N and 99.9°E to 100.9°E, with a spatial resolution of 1.855 km inside the computational domain. A spin-up phase of running was performed using wind stress and pressure gradient which were calculated from wind at 10 m and surface pressure from August 1, 2020-2021, respectively. These data were obtained from the Climate Data Store with a resolution of 0.25°x0.25°. The monthly mean currents in the Gulf of Thailand (GOT), as shown by simulation, are categorized into three categories. The first one is influenced by the southwest monsoon from April to August, while the second type is influenced by the northeast monsoon from November to January. The last type of current appears in the transition month i.e. September to October and February to March.
