บทคัดย่อ
The influence of adding Mn to binary Al-Ni alloys is significant, particularly in enhancing mechanical properties and improving corrosion resistance. This study focuses on the effect of Mn addition on Al-Ni alloys, indicating that the addition of 1 wt% Mn results in improved corrosion resistance. This improvement is evidenced by lower corrosion current density (Icorr) and higher corrosion potential (Ecorr) compared to Al-Ni alloys without Mn. Furthermore, the addition of Mn shows an even better enhancement in corrosion resistance after aging treatment at 350°C, attributed to the formation of Al9(Ni,Mn)2 precipitates. Additionally, this study also highlights that Mn addition plays a significant role in increasing the hardness of Al-Ni alloys.
