Abstract
The paper presents the cascade PI controller
design for a DC/DC converter. The hydrogen is used as the main
energy source feeding to the fuel cell stack in which the voltage
generated from the fuel cell is fluctuated. As a result, the DC/DC
converter is used to regulate the voltage feeding to the electric
bike driving systems. The controller design using the standard
second order system is proposed. The simulation results from
MATLAB/SIMULINK shows that the resulting cascade PI
controller can regulate the voltage even the power load level is
varied. The considered system with the controller designed by
the proposed method can provide the good voltage response
until the rated power can be achieved. The ripple voltage in the
steady state is under 0.5% following the standard ISO-21780-
2020.
