Abstract

The objectives of this study are as follows:

  1. To develop and assess the efficacy of the Teaching Package of Connecting microcontrollers with external devices for vocational certificate students enrolled in the Microprocessors and Microcontrollers course
  2. To investigate the academic performance of vocational certificate students in the Microprocessors and Microcontrollers course
  3. To assess user satisfaction with the Teaching Package of Connecting microcontrollers with external devices

The research instruments comprise the skill training kit, experiment worksheets, tests, and a user satisfaction questionnaire. The findings of the investigation are as follows:

The experimental use of the Teaching Package of Connecting microcontrollers with external devices revealed an efficiency of 88.10/86.67, surpassing the established criterion of 80/80. Consequently, the objective was achieved.

The pre-test and post-test scores of second-year Computer Technician students at Photharam Technical College were an average of 6.56 and 8.67, respectively, in the Microprocessors and Microcontrollers course, as revealed by the academic achievement of vocational certificate students. The comparison of these scores revealed a statistically significant improvement at the .05 level, which is consistent with the established objective.

The Teaching Package achieved the highest level of user satisfaction (  = 4.51, S.D. = 0.49). The process aspect exhibited the highest satisfaction level (  = 4.70, S.D. = 0.48), and the benefits received also had the highest satisfaction level (  = 4.58, S.D. = 0.47), which is consistent with the established objective.
