Abstract
This research aimed to study the opinions of first-year vocational certificate (Vocational Certificate) students at Roi Et Technical College on the factors used in deciding to continue their studies in vocational education. The sample group consisted of 328 first-year vocational certificate students in the 1/2024 semester, obtained by stratified random sampling from students in all 10 departments. The research instrument was a questionnaire on opinions towards factors influencing the decision to study vocational education of first-year vocational certificate students at Roi Et Technical College. The statistics used for data analysis were percentages, means, and standard deviation. The results found that, overall, students showed a high level of agreement with personal factors and institutional factors, particularly the belief that vocational education enables them to pursue their preferred career, their preference for hands-on practice over theoretical learning, the reputation of the institution, seeing successful alumni as role models, and the overall atmosphere and environment within the school. As for family factors and social and environmental factors, students showed a moderate level of agreement. Notable factors included family support and the opportunity to earn income to help relieve their family's financial burden.
