Abstract
The use of electricity in the textile industry tends to increase according to the increasing demand for consumers and products in line with the times, resulting in higher energy consumption and production costs. The CUSUM (Cumulative Sum) chart analysis of electrical energy consumption can accurately detect abnormalities, small changes, or savings in average energy efficiency. This research presents an analysis of the trend of electricity efficiency, using a case study of the textile industry and 24 months of production volume and electrical energy consumption data. These data are analyzed using the CUSUM to investigate energy consumption behavior, along with data from the textile industry. It was found that in the 24-month period, using a linear equation to show the slope of the electrical energy consumption and production volume data, the productive energy consumption (PEC) is 36.136 kWh, and the unproductive energy consumption (UEC) is 200,977 kWh. The UEC is higher than the PEC, such as Use all LED bulbs, turn on and off the switch when not in use, maintain regularly, balance the phase, reduce unnecessary bulb wattage, replace the old air conditioner with a new set of high energy efficiency (EER), use high efficiency motors, and change to a high efficiency air pump. In the subsequent year, various measures were implemented to reduce or conserve energy, leading to a PEC value of 39.31 kWh and a UEC value of 195,855 kWh, resulting in a 23.87% energy savings. Therefore, using CUSUM to analyze the trend of electrical energy efficiency can help plan for future electrical energy usage and be more efficient.
