Abstract
Field-Oriented Control (FOC) is a widely adopted technique for controlling the speed and torque of induction motors in industrial applications. Appropriate tuning of the PI controller parameters is critical to ensuring the dynamic performance of the FOC system. However, determining such parameters typically requires electrical measurements of the motor, which can be time-consuming and impractical. This study proposes a method to estimate the initial PI gains using only manufacturer-provided motor data, eliminating the need for parameter measurement. The proposed approach is validated through simulation and is shown to provide a reasonably fast system response. Although further fine-tuning may still be necessary to achieve optimal performance, the proposed method offers a practical and efficient starting point that significantly reduces system setup time and complexity.
