Abstract
The objective of this research was to develop a virtual tour system using the Metaverse to
enhance self-directed learning abilities for Grade 9 students. The study employed an experimental research
design with a single-group post-test approach. The population consisted of 54 Grade 9 students from Ban Bang Nam Chued School in the second semester of the 2024 academic year. A sample group of 22 students was selected using purposive sampling from the total population. The results that: 1) The virtual tour system using the Metaverse was developed as an online instructional media in the form of computer-assisted instruction based on the ADDIE Model. 2) The overall quality of the virtual tour system using the metaverse was at a very good level in all aspects, with a mean of 4.67 and a standard deviation of 0.32. 3) The self-learning abilities of the sample group were at a good level in all aspects, with a mean of 4.06 and a standard deviation of 0.85.
