The Abnormal Condition Within My Body II

The painting series “The State of Disorder in My Body II” originates from a personal exploration and reflection on the imperfection of the body, as perceived not merely as a biological structure but as a vessel of emotions, memories, and existence. Through the lens of my own experience, the notion of “disorder” extends beyond physical illness or injury, encompassing the psychological struggles that arise when the body fails to function as expected. Feelings of limitation, loss of freedom, vulnerability, and the questioning of self-worth became the driving force behind this creative process.

This series adopts an abstract visual language to provide open space for personal interpretation. Line, color, form, and texture represent the emotional tensions between pain and acceptance, denial and self-understanding. Chaotic marks and rough surfaces mirror the inner turbulence that words alone cannot express.

Rather than seeking answers or resolution, the creative process serves as a means of coexisting peacefully with bodily irregularities. Each work is the result of attentive listening to the internal dialogues of the body and mind, ever-changing through time.
