Abstract
This study presents the design and development of a cleaning robot using the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B as the microcontroller. The system integrated essential components including wheel drive motors, a floor cleaning motor, a water pump, an IP camera, and a WiFi-enabled switch for power management. Through the Blynk IoT platform, users can control the robot’s movements and cleaning functions via PC or smartphone, ensuring flexibility and accessibility from multiple locations. Experimental tests were conducted on a tiled floor area of 3×4 m², where the robot completed cleaning in approximately 4 minutes, consuming 1.9 A of current during full operation. With a 9 Ah battery and 80% efficiency, the system demonstrated an estimated operating time of nearly 3 hours and 47 minutes. The results confirm that a Raspberry Pi-based cleaning robot offers a cost-effective and versatile solution for developing autonomous cleaning systems, bridging the gap between academic research and practical applications.
