Abstract

This paper aimed to develop and analyze mathematical models for an oxidation pond wastewater treatment system with and without adding oxygen. The study involved collecting secondary data on organic matter, microbes, Chemical Oxygen Demand and Dissolved Oxygen in the water and finding the parameter set for the created mathematical models. The stability of the equilibrium points was checked. The numerical solutions were derived and used for analysis of the treatment into details. As a result, the water quality indicators met the standards with the mentioned treatment, while they did not without the treatment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
