Abstract
This study developed parametric models of bypass diode activation in PERC, TOPCon, and HJT modules using outdoor I–V measurements under controlled shading. The results show that diode behavior is strongly affected by shading location, severity, and module design. These insights support more accurate evaluation of shading tolerance and improved reliability assessment for advanced PV technologies.
