Abstract

This research aims to determine the optimal ratio of cleaning solution for removing coating residues and to evaluate its impact on metal and rubber components. The study is conducted through experiments using cleaning solution-to-water ratios of 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, and 1:5 to measure cleaning efficiency. Additionally, the effects on metal components, such as corrosion or rust formation, and on rubber components, such as swelling or degradation, are investigated. The cleaning performance will be assessed through visual inspection, weight loss measurement for metal parts, and dimensional changes in rubber components. The expected outcome of this study is to establish the most suitable cleaning solution ratio that effectively removes coating residues without causing damage to metal and rubber components in the coating unit. Furthermore, the findings will provide guidelines for selecting or developing appropriate cleaning solutions for offset printing systems. This will help extend the lifespan of equipment, reduce maintenance costs, and improve the overall efficiency of the printing process. Additionally, this research aims to contribute to the development of environmentally friendly cleaning solutions by considering their biodegradability and potential impacts on workplace safety.
