Abstract
This research investigates the efficiency of solar rooftop electricity production for residential applications. The study models a 10-kilowatt (10,000W) photovoltaic system installed at a fixed 30-degree tilt angle facing South. The primary objective was to evaluate the annual energy yield by analyzing variations in azimuth angles.
The findings reveal that Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) panels, when oriented at a 0-degree azimuth angle, exhibit superior power generation efficiency compared to other configurations. This optimized model demonstrates that maximum energy output can be achieved without the need for additional investment in complex solar tracking or control systems, providing a highly cost-effective approach for future residential solar implementations.
