Abstract

This article examines the design of AC Electronics load surge protection as surge arrester in the voltage electricity system with lack in sustainability and quality. At present, most surge protection devices could deal with either transient over voltage or surge. In real practice, the devices must be effective to prevent surge in electrical power system. Therefore, the researchers conducted a research on AC electronics load surge protection which could prevent both transient over voltage and voltage swell. The operation of the designed protection device works well and in compatibility with both two modes. The test of the protection device showed that let through voltage was at safe range and load continued to work, resulting in the ability to improve and modify the quality of electrical power in Thailand electricity distribution system more effectively than the past and helping increase the lifetime of electric appliances, electric devices, and electricity protection devices.
