Abstract
Au/La 1-xSr xMnO 3 (x≈0.4, Au/LSM) nanocomposites were synthesised and investigated for their potential use in an oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) reaction in a fixed bed reactor (FBR) and solid oxide fuel cell reactor (SOFC). A 17.9% C 2 selectivity and a 10.8% CH 4 conversion have been obtained in a FBR at 1073K and 6:1 CH 4/O 2. The electron motive force was 0.86V at the power density of 12.4mAcm -2 during cogeneration through OCM in SOFC reactor. A 7% methane conversion and a 5.7% C 2 selectivity were obtained when the air flow rate was 30ml/min at 1123K. © 2012 The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry.
