Abstract

In this article, we introduce a new iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of fixed points for a continuous pseudo-contractive mapping and the solution set of a variational inequality problem governed by continuous monotone mappings. Strong convergence for the proposed iterative scheme is proved. Our results improve and extend some recent results in the literature. ฉ 2012 Chamnarnpan and Kumam.
