Abstract
Boric acid (0.25, 0.5, 1.0%wt) doped Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate (KDP) bulk single crystals were grown from aqueous solutions by slow evaporation method. Solubility and nucleation curves were studied. The grown crystals were confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction analysis. Functional groups presented in the grown material have been identified using FTIR spectra. The temperature stability of the crystal has been confirmed by TGA. The mechanical strength was analyzed using Vicker's hardness measurement. ฉ (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
