Abstract

Their basis functions (polynomials) or via recursive algorithms. An efficient means for representing curves can be introduced by using their monomial forms. Monomial functions of B'ezier curves were investigated by Faux and Pratt [1], Mortenson [2], and Chang [3]. Nevertheless, monomial functions for other types of CAGD curves are nonexistent. This work proposes monomial functions for Said-Ball,Wang-Ball, DP, Dejdumrong and NB1 curves. These monomial functions will be extremely useful and far less computational intensive in the curve-conversion procedures. ฉ 2014 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
