Abstract

In this paper, we prove a new common fixed point theorem for R-weakly commuting mappings of types (Ag), R-weakly commuting mappings of type (Af) and R-weakly commuting mappings of types (P) in modified intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces using the common limit in the range property. An example is furnished which demonstrates the validity of the hypotheses and degree of generality of our main result. ฉ 2012 African Mathematical Union and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
